J.R. Mais & Associates Limited is an established firm which boasts over forty years of experience in the Land Surveying Industry. We are a full-service firm, well experienced in road design and development, topography, sub-divisions among others. This firm invests heavily in technology to ensure that we are always current with industry standards and so we strongly rely on the use of Theodelite Total Stations, Magellan Global Positioning System (See Geo Graphics Limited) in harmony with Auto CAD and other computer software. Some major projects worked on to completion were:

• Highway 2000, where GPS control was established, the proposed alignment was set out and cross sections taken on a 20m x 10m grid along the route, and the data used to complete the design. A digital terrain model was also prepared from the data. 

• The Northern Coastal Highway Improvement Project, which is a redevelopment of 230 Kilometres of New Highway. In a joint venture with AdeB Consultants, GPS and Total Stations were used for setting out control for Photogrammetry, CAD drafting and GPR subsurface investigations were used to gather information for the final design and quantities.

Other Hydrographic experience includes beach improvement projects at Club Caribbean Hotel and the Drax Hall Development - Hotel site.We are committed to being on the frontline with new technology and will continue to offer outstanding customer service and so I take the liberty of introducing to you the gentleman who is at the helm of this remarkable firm, Mr. John R. Mais.

John R. Mais is a Commissioned Land Surveyor with over forty years of experience in the Surveying Industry. Over the years he has worked with many companies where he served in various capacities, such as:

• Principal for J. R. Mais & Associates, Inc in Miami Florida.

• Manager of all surveying projects for the regional office of Post Buckley Schuh & Jernigan, Inc.                            

• Senior Partner for Mais Dear & Associates in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

John R. Mais is also a Real Estate sales agent with the Keyes Company, Realtors - Hollywood, Florida, and Coldwell Banker Jamaica Realty, Kingston, Jamaica. He is also Director of Geo Graphics Limited.
